FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL - TUESDAY, JULY 26TH

Dear Carol Rae Ranch Elementary Families,


With the start of the new school year fast approaching we wanted to inform of a few safety changes that will be implemented for 2022-2023 school year.


Our front office doors will be installed with new camera/buzzer system. All students will enter the through the supervised open playground gates school from 7:45-8:05am. If any student is tardy they will have to be buzzed in through the front office. We can no longer have adults walk their students down to the classroom if they are tardy for school.


Visitors will be required to state the purpose of their visit prior to gaining entrance into the office area to the campus and if the office staff member doesn’t know the visitor they will be required to show ID. Once approved, visitors will be allowed into the office area in which they will need to sign in and out as well as wear a visitor’s badge.


For the first two days of school parents will be allowed to be on the playground before school.

If you haven’t already, it is time to complete the online ‘Annual Update’ to prepare for the new school year. The ‘Annual Update’ in Infinite Campus allows you to tell us of any updates to your contact information, address changes, and updates to emergency contacts.


In order to ensure we can communicate with you regarding your student, or in case of emergency, it is essential that we have your up-to-date contact details. Please log in to your Infinite Campus parent portal and complete your student’s ‘Annual Update’ today. Even if your contact information hasn't changed, please log in to complete.

If your student would like to share treats with their classmates on their birthday, they must be store bought. Due to safety measures there can not be any homemade treats. Please check with the teacher for any possible allergies. When at all possible, please send these with the student in the morning.

DROP OFF/PICK-UP PROCEDURES

Please remember these parking lot procedures when picking up and/or dropping off your students. There will be long lines during these times, please be patient.

MARQUEE BIRTHDAY ANNOUNCEMENTS

You can celebrate your student's birthday with an announcement on our marquee for a $5 donation. You may find the request form on our website (under Carol Rae Announcements) or in the front office. The Request Form and payment need to be in to the front office by the Friday before the birthday.

NUTRITION SERVICES INFORMATION

Gilbert Public Schools receives important additional Federal funds based on income guidelines directly related to student free & reduced lunch eligibility. Taking the time to complete a GPS Free & Reduced Lunch Application means our schools can continue providing important additional academic support and services for students (even if your child decides not to participate in the lunch program). Thank you for taking the time to complete an online application and to help ensure our school and receives its fair share of Federal funds.
