Please park along 2nd Avenue and obey the city street signs, as well as traffic laws to avoid being ticketed. If for any reason, due to medical conditions or other reasons beyond your control, you need to enter the parking lot for student drop off and pick up, please contact the office.

Outside of drop off and pick up times, please be cautious of pedestrians in the area while driving through the parking lot. Do not text while driving. Do not speed. Do not park in crosswalk area. The safety of our students, staff, and community is one of our highest priorities.

Bell times:

* 7:50 am is the first bell

*class officially begins at 7:55 am

*dismissal is 2:55 pm

If your child arrives after the 7:55 bell, they are tardy and must buzz through the main entrance and present themselves to the office for a tardy pass.

Students can arrive as early as 7:30 am. Prior to that time there is no adult supervision and we highly recommend you do not drop your child off prior to this time. It is so important that kids arrive on time to school every day and that they are prepared to learn. It is equally important that students are picked up on time at 2:55 as we do not have on-site after school supervision.

Colorado weather, as you know, can be unpredictable. It is important that your child is prepared for the upcoming colder months, days and quickly changing tempuratures with appropriate clothing and outdoor wear. Coats, jackets, sweaters, gloves, hats, boots, socks and layered clothing are great ways to stay ahead of the weather. If you need assistance with any of these items, please contact Mrs. Garcia, our family liaison.

Help Lyn Knoll raise funds without spending any extra funds! With the upcoming holidays you can add us to your shopping list without actually shopping for us. Take a look at the links below for ways to help Lyn Knoll win cash back from your regular, every day purchases and holiday shopping.

As a reminder, the first bell rings at 7:50 a.m. At this time, students are allowed to enter the classroom for breakfast. The final bell rings at 7:55 a.m. If students are not in class by the final bell, they are considered tardy. Once the tardy bell has rung, students need to enter the building through the main doors so that they can obtain a tardy pass from the main office.

Also, outdoor supervision begins at 7:30 a.m. We ask that students are not dropped off prior to this time unless they have have been given permission to attend A.C.E.S. or violin class.

Your understanding and support is appreciated.

Throughout the school we like to send out automated phone calls with information regarding the school such as upcoming events, changes, etc. There are also times when we will need to contact you and having up-to-date contact information is key to our communication.

If you have any changes to your contact information i.e. phone number, address, email address, please let us know immediately so that we may assist you in updating our system accordingly.

See below for information on updating your own information through the APS Parent Portal.

Starting immediately Lyn Knoll we will be using the Raptor Security System to check in our visitors. This system utilizes a nationwide database to check backgrounds on those that visit our school. It is required that you provide us with your government issued ID which will then be scanned in the system and print out a visitor tag; much like local hospitals.

Please be prepared with identification when you visit our school. If you have any questions or concerns please contact our office.

For more detailed information, please contact our Security department directly.

Click here for access to the APS Parent Portal where you can monitor your child's progress, grades, assignments, attendance and even update your contact information and emergency contacts.

The Parent Port tool will require a user name and password. Please contact your student’s school to retrieve this information if your are a first time user.
