Wilton Encampment

May 27-May 29, Come Friday and set up camp or Arrive Saturday and stay the night!


Camp Candlewood in New Fairfield, CT is a wonderful place to camp. It is a large campsite including Waterfront and more. Friday is a low key night, you can set up camp make dinner and just bond. Saturday includes a BYO picnic lunch and activities, campfire, skits and songs. Don't miss this memorable Wilton Event, you'll be sorry you did!

Friday, May 27th, 6pm to Sunday, May 29th, 11am

Friday 5/27/16 from 6p.m. - troops are welcome to set up camp, cook , chill out, etc. Just $8 per person (scouts and Adults) additional fees may be charged for boating activities.


Saturday 5/28/16 arrive anytime after 9:00,BYO Picnic lunch at 11:30 (don't forget the picnic blanket), flag ceremony 12:15, SWAPS, activity stations 1:00-4:00 and campfire 6:30 including Skits and Songs run by Wilton Service Unit.

Meals are on a troop by troop basis Breakfast for those spending Friday night, BYO Picnic Lunch, Dinner and Snack.

Sunday 5/29/16 till 11:00 - breakfast and clean up.

Arrive anytime after 9:00. A Greeter will meet you with an information packet at the Dining Hall before lunch and Daisy Field during lunch.

Pack to go home if you are leaving after the Campfire.

(Return Buckets, Shovels, Brooms and Mattress before leaving camp Sun.) (All Trash must leave Camp, Do Not dump Trash in Garbage cans at Camp!)

Day Campers are asked to take a bag or two of Trash home as those camping have packed cars already! Pick up trash by Campfire.

8:30 Some campers go home (day campers be sure to take a bag or two of trash home as those staying already have full cars, Those staying bring your tidy trash bag to the campfire leave by the road in front of the dining hall to be picked up.).


The rest return to their own individual Campsite for S’mores

Sunday, May 29 th

Get up, breakfast, clean up, pack up and go home. Enjoy smelling like smoke on the drive home!


Check out time is 11:00


Make sure your campsite is completely cleaned up and your fire is fully out (using water).


(Return Buckets, Shovels, Brooms and Mattress before leaving camp Sun.)

(All Trash must leave Camp, Do Not dump Trash in Garbage cans at Camp!)
