RUSD is working collaboratively with the Rocklin Police Department. And as part of the investigation of the recent vandalism, surveillance video footage is being reviewed. If you, or anyone you know, has information that could aid the investigation, please reach out to our principal or the Rocklin Police Department Non-Emergency phone line at (916) 625-5400. California Pioneer History Day

A California Pioneer History Day highlighting the contributions of groups traditionally underrepresented in California’s history will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park in Coloma.

This is the fourth California Pioneer History Day event, which occurs every other year. The third biennial event in 2019 attracted about 5,000 people in one day, thrilling history buffs of all ages.

The family friendly event, which features many hands-on activities for both children and adults on pioneer life, will include historical exhibits and demonstrations from the Chinese Friends of the Railroad; Gold Rush Jewish Community; the Black peacetime military unit, the Buffalo Soldiers; the Mewuk Nisenan Native American tribes; the Japanese Wakamatsu Farm; and the Mormon Battalion, six of whose members were with James Marshall in Coloma when he discovered gold

Gratitude for PurposeFull Families

During November and December, SRES will be focusing on Gratitude. Please see the letters below for your student grade level to continue the learning at home with some great conversation starters, books to read, activities to pursue, and some challenges.

Gradtitude for TK-2

Gradtitude for 3-6

Family PurposeFull Pursuit: Family Gratitude Jar

Find a place in your home to display a glass jar. Cut up small slips of paper and place them next to the jar. Use the jar to collect special people, places, events, and memories that your family is thankful for. Find a time each week to add slips of Gratitude to the jar. Having a gloomy day or a challenging time as a family? Pull out the slips of Gratitude and read them aloud as a family as a reminder of all of your grateful moments.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Conferences are scheduled for the week of November 15th-19th. Our Online Scheduler is now closed. Please contact your teacher via email if you need to still schedule/reschedule.

Chromebook Update

Those of you who filled out the form to receive a Chromebook through the RUSD Emergency Connectivity Fund should be receiving their new device around Thanksgiving. We have over 150 students taking advantage of this opportunity! Stay tuned for more details....

And it is still not too late....our District was awarded another grant and we are able to offer many more to students who need them. (This program is not income based, students and families are eligible based on their need for connectivity.)

If you checked one out for your student(s) last year, and you have not yet applied, you should complete this form today to see if you qualify! We encourage all families to apply for this program.

If you have any questions, call our Technology Department at 916-672-3600. .
