COVID-19 UPDATES
We fully recognize that this pandemic continues to create worry and stress for all involved. If you miss a call from LSE, please be sure to listen to your voicemails. We will always leave a message. Please ensure your voicemail mailbox is not full.
If your student is placed on quarantine, all classwork will be posted to their Google Classroom. Students will complete their work asynchronously. If you need to borrow a CCPS laptop, please call the office. We have laptops ready for distribution. Parents/Guardians will need to review and sign a laptop agreement when picking up the laptop.
Face Coverings
Students and staff must wear a cloth face covering that fully covers the nose and mouth that is secured using ties or ear loops. Face coverings must be a solid piece of cloth without slits, exhalation valves, or punctures.
Please note that masks with exhalation valves and gaiters are not in alignment with the state mandated regulation. Students not wearing a face covering that is in alignment with this regulation will be offered a reusable cloth mask.
Testing Information
CCPS is accepting Rapid tests; however, if both the Rapid and PCR tests are drawn, we must wait for the PCR results to be submitted.
Submitting Test Results
Please continue sending your student's test results to LSEAttendance@carrollk12.org and Nurse Twigg artwigg@carrollk12.org. We will reply to all emails with confirmation that your student is cleared to return.
Again, we very much appreciate everyone's continued patience and understanding.
FUN RUN
Special thanks to Ms. Trish Phillips and the LSE Fun Run committee for all of their hard work to make this event such a success.

HELP WANTED! Did you know that our school has employment opportunities currently available? Please contact Mr. Messier (gpmessi@carrollk12.org) or Ms. Bailey (jabail2@carrollk12.org) for more details on available positions. Interested applicants are asked to also visit the Employment Opportunities section of the CCPS website, as they must complete a CCPS employment application to be fully considered for positions. The CCPS Department of Human Resources manages this process and is the only office authorized to make official employment offers once the school completes interviews and all required documentation is finalized. Please share this information with family and friends who may be interested in employment. Thank you for your continued support of our school community.
LEXIA READING PROGRAM
Now that this school year is underway, there have been some changes to our Lexia licensing. Unfortunately, we no longer have a license for every child. For the remainder of the 2021-2022 school year, Lexia will be an assigned intervention. If your child is assigned to Lexia, you will receive a letter that indicates that your student may use the program at home. Otherwise, please discontinue use of the Lexia program. If you are looking for alternative ideas for your student to practice reading at home, please let your child's teacher know. Our Reading Specialist, Ms. Katherman, would be happy to offer some alternative ideas.
LOST AND FOUND ITEMS
Please consider writing your student's name on their jackets/sweatshirts to help our staff return the item to it's owner.
