Position Announcement: K-12 Fine Arts Teacher
Wrangell Public Schools is accepting applications for the following positions for the 2018-2019 School Year:
K-12 Fine Arts Teacher: This is a full-time teaching position providing a K-12 art program. The applicant must have the ability to develop an appreciation of art in every student so that every student recognizes their own creativity to express themselves and enhance their environment.
A current Alaska Teaching certificate with the appropriate endorsements in Art is required. Multiple endorsements are preferred. One (1) position – Temporary Summer Student Aide (Wrangell). Hourly rate of $12.00
One (1) position – Temporary Summer Student Aide (Kodiak). Hourly rate of $13.08
Approximate length of Program is May 1, 2019 to August 31, 2019
Children of AHFC employees are excluded from the program unless they meet Section 3 criteria.

Youth Employment Services
The Central Council Tlingit & Haida Indian Tribes of AK administers the Youth Employment Services (YES) program to assist tribal youth (ages 14-21) to obtain summer employment. As stated, "the intent of this program is to encourage self-sufficiency and assist youth in discovering career/education pathways while learning employment skills."
