From the Principal's Desk
The 2021-2022 School Year is off and running! The first week of school always begins with Strong Start procedures, including Live Orientation, Course Orientations, Star360 Math and Reading Assessments, and getting to know your school staff! This week, we will begin transitioning into content instruction, so that we may start helping students learn and grow this year!
As you may have heard, this year, all Star360 Assessments must be proctored with a staff member. This means that students must take the Star360 Assessments 1:1 with a staff member as the staff member monitors progress and verifies completion and success. Thank you for your patience as we host these sessions and collect the very important data we need to set up students' learning paths!
We will be providing some opportunities for Star360 proctoring in the evening this week, as well! For students who are unable to attend during the day, we have teams of teachers who will be providing these proctoring sessions on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evening from 6-8pm each night. If you have not completed your proctored assessments yet, please be on the lookout for invitations to these sessions.
Did you know we also have a Night School program? Students can receive instructional support from teachers from 6-8pm Monday-Thursday, allowing them to have personal and work schedules throughout the day! Reach out to your counselor and see below to learn more about Night School and all our other pathways! The Night School program will begin next week, August 23rd.
There's a lot going on! Please read the news and updates below!
