Things to know for the start of the year

  • School starts Tuesday 31st. Meet the Teacher Day. School will be open from 10-2pm for you to come in and say hi to the teachers and help put to rest some of the beginning of the year nerves. (Please do not send your children without adults - this is a meet and greet and not a normal teaching day).

  • Schools starts back to normal Wednesday the 1st of February 2023

  • Powhiri 10 am, Wednesday the 1st of February.

  • We are still looking for a new school bus so in the meantime vans will still be operating as per last term - starting Wednesday 1st of February.

Learning Focus for Term 1

This term our learning focus will be

Ko au, Ko Koe, Ko Tahi Tatou.

This is all about students knowing who they are, where they are from, and how we all fit in together as one. We are also starting to develop our local curriculum so expect to see our students out and about in our local environment more this year.

Nga Puawai and Nga Hua Ngaruru are going on camp to the Lions Hut in Week 8.

For many students this will be their first school camp.

If you didn’t receive the information about this last term please come and see Whaea Marcelle.

Sport Term 1

  • Swimming starts Week 2 for 4 weeks. KPS swimming sports Friday 3rd March.

  • Whakatane Rip module starts Week 5 for 6 weeks on a Wednesday.

  • EBOP Touch Week 4
