Hello, Castle View Families:
This year has flown by, and I can't believe we are getting ready to celebrate the extraordinary class of 2023.
Please note that we have a LONG ASSEMBLY SCHEDULE twice this week: On Monday, May 8 for Yearbook Distribution and Wednesday, May 10 for our Moving Up Assembly. This is a Castle View tradition that gives our student body the chance to come together, bid the graduating class farewell, and "move up" to their new grade with its new responsibilities for leadership.
May 10 is also the Class '23's last day at Castle View; I know this time is bittersweet for students, families, and staff, and I hope that all of us take the time to end this chapter well as we look forward to the next.
Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, and as always, thank you for sharing your kids with us; it is our honor to serve them.

Schedules for 23-24!
Please note that Sabercats' Schedules for next year were released in Infinite Campus on Friday, April 28 at 3pm. (If your students needs a refresher on how to view next year's schedule in IC, click HERE).
If you see an error on your schedule, please use the SCHEDULE CORRECTION FORM. It will be available Monday, May 1st through Friday, May 19th.
Please understand that the schedule correction window is an extremely busy time for our counselors, and they will not be able to keep up with emails with specific requests. This form is the best way to contact them about your schedule. They will check the form frequently, and they appreciate your understanding. Please also note the CVHS SCHEDULE CORRECTION POLICY as you make requests for adjustments.
AP Exam Information!
Advanced Placement (AP) exams begin on Monday, May 1 and continue through Friday, May 12. Linked here is the schedule for initial exams, as well as the classroom where students taking that exam will check in.
Students should arrive no later than 7:40am for morning exams and no later than 11:40am for afternoon exams. Students should bring:
1. No. 2 wooden pencils
2. Dark blue or black pens
3. A calculator (if testing in science, math, or economics)
4. A straight edge or rule (if testing in physics)
Students testing in alternate locations due to accommodations will receive a reminder email the night before with their alternate testing location.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Make-up exam times are highly inconvenient based on CV's graduation and finals timelines. Students should avoid using make-up windows if at all possible. All students requiring a make-up exam on May 17th will take exams off-site at another school.

A note from our registrar
Will you be moving at the end of the school year? If so, please email me at delana.hoogeboom@dcsdk12.org for your student's withdrawal form. Records will not be forwarded without a parent-signed withdrawal form and a completed student withdrawal form.
Next steps:
- A parent/guardian must complete and sign the withdrawal form.
- On the last day of attendance, the student will take the student withdrawal form to their teachers to receive a withdrawal grade and the teacher's signatures.
- All textbooks, library books, and Chrome books with charging cords must be returned to the library.
- Outstanding fees must be paid or cleared by the Bookkeeper.
- Students must turn in their school ID card and parking permit and clean their lockers.
Upon completing all steps, the student may obtain a copy of the withdrawal form, an unofficial transcript, and an immunization record for their new school.
