Bulldog's Bark

End of Year 2019-2020

From the Principal's Desk

Hello Bulldog Nation! What a whirlwind that the end of the school year! I wanted to let you all know just a few things that will happen throughout the next few weeks in Loraine ISD. Since the school building closure enacted by Governor Abbot on March 17th, Loraine ISD has transitioned our learning to a hybrid of e-Learning and packet pick-up. I applaud all of you on undertaking a new role in your lives with this pandemic. Your children are dearly missed, and we (the Bulldog Staff) are deeply saddened by the loss of so many days without our kiddos.

With the end of the year, we usually have assemblies and banquets honoring our students academic and extracurricular successes. This year, we will be posting videos, made by the Bulldog Staff, or award recipients. Once the videos are posted, you will be able to pickup your kiddo(s) award(s) in the office. If you are not able to do so, please reach out to us, and we will find a way to get them to your kiddo. This includes kiddos that received UIL awards from the Elementary and Junior High competition that was held at Loraine ISD on December 3rd and 4th. Graduation is going to take place on May 23rd, beginning at 10:00 AM at Bulldog Stadium. We will stream the ceremony via Facebook Live, and I am also looking for ways to directly link it to our LISD website. Notes for graduation are directly below this message. As we prepare for the 2020-2021 school year, our teachers are looking at new ways to bring teaching to life in a new way to continue our GROWTH from this school year. Our staff is armed and ready for the challenge of the 2020-2021 school year, and we will show that we are all #BulldogStrong. Throughout the summer, we will be in the office four days a week. If you need anything, please reach out to us. Our offices will be closed June 29th - July 3rd, in observance of the 4th of July holiday. Once again, we dearly miss you all and are very proud of how our Bulldog Nation has risen to beat the challenges that COVID-19 has put in front of us here in Loraine ISD. We will bounce back and be stronger than ever. Keep up the great work and know that we are #BulldogStrong.
