Advent Week 2

Hope changes everything. A common theme this year - “it’s hopeless” - seems pervasive everywhere these days. Our world often feels like an incubator of trouble, injustice and heartache. But in our struggles, God’s word assures us of His understanding and love.

The Apostle Paul writes, “…the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.”

The prophet Isaiah writes these cherished words of our Lord, “As a mother comforts her child, so I will comfort you.”

If God’s word brings comfort in such passages, it positively explodes with assurance of His victory and triumph over all that would seem hopeless in our world. This Advent and Christmas season comes with an invitation — God is asking us to come with Him. If we do, we will discover how things are made right.

COVID Update

I wanted to thank everyone for your continued compliance with our COVID policy. We have done very well. We did have a case in K3 this week. The K3 teachers and students are quarantined until Wednesday, December 16 (with a negative test) or return on Monday, December 21 if no test and no symptoms.

There are a couple families that have opted for virtual classes until the middle of January but we do not have any other active cases of COVID in the school.

Updated Report Cards for Grades 1-5

Students in grades 1-5 should be brining home updated report card. The World Language grade for Trimester 1 was missing from the original report card sent home last week. No other grades have been changed.
