11th Grade SBAC Testing Schedule Week 1 - REGULAR SCHEDULE ALL WEEK

We had a practice test run for our JUNIORS this week. Thank you to our English teachers who helped post the student color & location assignments.


Parents: Please be sure your student arrives at school on time, fed and well rested. On test day, get your teen up early enough to allow them time to properly wake up before they have to start the test. Happy Testing Season!

The Sadie's Hawkins Dance will be held in our gym tomorrow, 3/7. The doors will open at 6 pm and end at 10 pm.

This Saturday, Class of 2023 is conducting a Mock SAT test issued by the Revolution Prep Academy.


Students will receive immediate results and feedback when the exam concludes.

Dance Team Crowned as National Champs

Congrats to our Walnut High School Dance Team! They were crowned National Champions in Large Kick, Large Prop, and Large Jazz.


They earned the highest-scoring kick out of the entire competition, an encore performance for kick, and a choreography award for kick!


They placed 3rd in small lyrical and 4th in small contemporary!

Looking to satisfy HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE graduation requirements for FREE???


The Dual Enrollment Program between Walnut High School and Mt. SAC will give you that opportunity. This wonderful partnership provides students the chance to experience career technical skills to meet real-world expectations.


Please note that seats are VERY LIMITED, and courses are not guaranteed. Classes are taught by Mt. SAC professors, not WHS teachers. You will be required to meet WHS AND Mt. SAC expectations and standards.


After completing this survey, your information will be shared with your GLC. Please remember to express your interest during your pre-registration date in March.

Scholarship Opportunities

The Nancy McMullen Memorial Scholarship

These Scholarships are presented by Ray McMullen and Dedicated to Learning Inc. (D2L). D2L is a nonprofit corporation that provides summer school for the middle and high school students of this area.


The corporation is dedicated to developing innovative solutions that create extraordinary opportunities for students and educators around the world. All profits beyond the D2L operational costs are given to schools and school districts as well as to students. One of these scholarships will be presented to a student at Diamond Bar High School and another at Walnut High School.


Nancy McMullen, was an extraordinary elementary school teacher who went to UCLA as an art major and a biological science minor. She later taught for 30 years in the Covina School District. In addition to her teaching and work with kids, she maintained her passion for art and was a water color painter.



  • These $1,000 scholarships are given annually in her memory and are intended to help young people pursue a career in a field of the visual arts.
  • Applications will be reviewed by a committee of educators and artists.
  • The deadline for the application materials and the supporting piece of art is Friday, April 24.
