You are invited to spend the day with Kristin Ziemke and Don Goble. This day promises to be time well spent as we investigate how to ground our technology use in principles of good teaching. The day will begin in the Carver Center at ISMS. Please see the agenda below for detailed information.
Attendees will be paid a stipend of $100.00.
Your ASUS computer will be returned that morning for use throughout the day.
Author of Amplify! and co-author of Connecting Comprehension and Technology, Kristin Ziemke has spent her career teaching and learning from children in both urban and suburban school districts. As a teacher of primary age learners in Chicago, Kristin engages students in authentic learning experiences where reading, thinking, collaboration and inquiry are at the heart of the curriculum. An Apple Distinguished Educator, National Board Certified Teacher and Chicago's Tech Innovator of the Year, Kristin seeks opportunities to transform education through technology innovation. She collaborates with educators around the globe as a staff developer, speaker and writer.
Don is a full-time high school Multimedia instructor, international speaker, published author and video producer from St. Louis, Missouri. He is the recipient of several awards, including the National Journalism Education Association Broadcast Adviser of the Year, an Apple Distinguished Educator, and the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Making IT Happen award.
