General Announcements
Security Update- Parents, in a continued effort to provide safe and secure campuses for all of our high school and senior high students, Plano ISD has revised policy and provided information regarding the use of metal detectors at our 9-10 and senior high campuses. Please survey this information at: www.pisd.edu/metaldetectorsearch
We will continue to provide you updates regarding this initiative in the days and weeks ahead. As always, please reach out to me with any questions or concerns.
Students and parents, we would like to make everyone aware that on Wednesday, October 24th, we will be conducting a lock down drill during the passing period between second and third period. We have conducted lock down drills to prepare for emergencies in the past during class periods. We are now adding this drill during a passing period to better prepare our students and staff in case of an emergency during a passing period. Information about how students should react to this type of situation will be presented to students and reinforced by staff before the drill is conducted. In the near future, we will also be conducting a lock down drill during lunch. We will educate students how they should react in this type of situation and share more information about this drill before we conduct it.
Senior ads for the yearbook are on sale now. Nov. 11 is the deadline. Visit www.jostensadservice.com to create and purchase an ad for your senior. Contact abby.cole@pisd.edu for more information.
