Lions Park Paw Prints
LETTER FROM THE PTO
Dear Lions Park Families,
The PTO is committed to providing as many of our regular school activities as we can. We are looking for a parent that would be able to chair a virtual STEM fair at the end of April. In the past, our students have loved and learned so much from exploring STEM related projects and experiments and then presenting them. Let’s provide them the same opportunity this year! Please contact us at lionsparkpto@gmail.com if you are interested.
Thank you for all your support for our Roar N Run Read! We are in the home stretch and have almost met our goal! We have raised over $9,000 and you have until Sunday, February 28 to get your pledges in. Let’s top $10,000! See the flyer included in this newsletter to donate. We would like to give a huge thank you to Nicholas & Associates for their generous donation and their continued commitment to our schools!
Our 5th graders are working with the Fairview 5th graders to create care packages for children in hospitals in the Chicagoland area. Thank you for everyone who dropped donations off!
The Social Connections committee continues to keep our students engaged and connected with fun virtual events like Yoga & a Craft. They also hosted a fun family game and pizza night with the help of the local businesses listed below:

Technology Issues
Although technology can work well, there are times when it just does not work correctly. Teachers will not be available to respond to emails during instructional times. Instead, please submit a Remote Learning Technology Support form by clicking here. Once submitted, someone from our District Technology Team will contact you to provide assistance.
If you experience a technical issue, please follow these steps to troubleshoot the problem:
Restart the Chromebook (make sure it turns all the way off before turning back on).
Quit any unused applications.
Sign out of an application if it's not working, and sign back in.
Move closer to your internet router if you are experiencing connectivity issues.
Turn off any accessibility features i.e., contrast mode, special cursor that may be set on the Chromebook. These can cause applications to run slow.
