Cell Organelle
By: Gracie
Nucleus
Animal and plant cell. The cell holds DNA for other organelles to know what they're doing, it's known as the powerhouse!!
Cell Membrane
This is found in both plant and animal cells. This cell control what organelles get passed in to use and which ones are blocked out, almost like a doorman or a security guard.
Cytoplasm
This is found in both the plant and animal cell. The cytoplasm is jelly-like and keeps the organelles in place. If there wasn't cytoplasm, the organelles would not be able to process. The organelles float in the cytoplasm all day!!
Ribosome
The ribosome is found in a plant and animal cell. The ribosomes create protein for the body.
Mitochondria
Mitochondria is only found in an animal cell. The mitochondria breaks down ATP to create energy. This organelle is known as the power plant of the cell.
Vacuole
The vacuole in found in the animal and plant cell. It stores water and nutrients, like a storage warehouse
Golgi Body
This organelle is found in a plant an animal cell. The Golgi body groups liquids and proteins and puts them in vesicles. This organelle function is like a packaging place like UPS
Rough ER
The Rough ER is found only in a plant cell. This organelle transports things into other places of the cell, like a highway.
Lysosome
The lysosome is only found in a animal cell. What this organelle does is takes the waste in the cell and turns it into something that can help the cell. This function is almost exactly like a recycling system.
Cell Wall
The cell wall is found in both plant and animal cell. The fluid in the cell gets pushed up against the cell wall. The cell wall allows the fluid to form into a certain shape.
Chloroplast
The chloroplast is only found in a plant cell. This organelle converts sunlight into energy. Almost like the mitochondria, the chloroplast gets energy and the mitochondria puts it out for the cell to use.
CELL THEORY
The cell theory is how all cells are made out of pre-existing cells, cells carry out all functions needed to support life, and ALL things are made of cells.
The body organization from least complex to most complex
Cell, tissue, organ, organ system, and then the ORGANISM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Prokaryotic
A prokaryotic cell is usually found in bacteria. The prokaryotes were evolved first but the smallest. The hereditary information is found within the cytoplasm.
Eukaryotic
The eukaryotic cell is a cell that is usually bigger than the prokaryotic. The hereditary information is found within the nucleus. An example is a plant, animal, or fungi.
