Engage your students in storytelling with shadow theater!
Charmaine Bride recently had a shadow puppet expert come out to her library to teach her students how to create shadow puppets. She said her students were engaged in the storytelling process. This genre of storytelling is very powerful with the students as they can create their own characters to tell their own stories.
We have several how-to videos for creating the shadow theaters as well as a collection of characters you can print out on card stock for your students to use at: https://goo.gl/aYX6LC
LIbrary Shared > Makerspaces in Curric. > Activities > Storytelling
We have a few shadow boxes/theaters here at Library Services to borrow if you wish.
Have fun watching your students have fun!
