Car Loop Reminders - PM Pickup

Please note the following pick up procedures at Manatee School For the Arts. All students who are being picked up by parents after school are to line up in the front dismissal area at the end of the school day. The pick up area will be opened approximately 30 minutes before dismissal each day. Cars line up in the front area as noted in the diagram below. An MSA staff member will dismiss each line of cars in the order that they arrived.

Students are picked up on the North side (by the tent) of the loop with the cars in single file. The pickup procedure usually takes 30 minutes or less.

Please be patient as we safely dismiss all students and get them to their cars in a safe manner.

If you have any questions, please contact us.

Online Grade Access

Don't forget that you have access to your child's grades through the Parent Portal. If you have not received the access information, please let us know, and if you have any questions about your child's performance in a class, contact your child's teacher early to avoid any surprises come report card time. Thanks!

Congratulations 6th Grade Students

Congratulations to the following twenty 6th grade students for going above and beyond demonstrating excellence in the areas of the 3-R's: Respect, Responsibility, and Relationships this quarter. As a result their teachers have awarded several of them with tickets. These tickets were turned in to our golden lottery raffle and 20 lucky winners were selected. If they received a ticket this quarter, we want to congratulate them on being recognized in a positive manner. If they did not receive a ticket this quarter, we encourage them to keep working hard to uphold the 3-R's as we will have another award for quarter two. As a result of being drawn from the golden lottery, the following students took part in an ice cream "social-ly distanced" party during their lunch time outside.

PM Parent Pickup Reminders

We want to send all parents a reminder that we do not have a PM child care program at MSA. All students who are not participating in an after-school activity must be picked up as close to dismissal time as possible. School ends at 2:55 (HS) 4:55 (MS), and we have students here up to an hour after school ends. This causes a huge problem for our staff and can cause a safety issue for our students. Please make sure you are picking up your children by 3:30 (HS) and 5:10 (MS).

Also, an important note about pick-up. Any student who is being picked up at dismissal must be picked up in our parent pick-up loop. Asking your child to walk off campus to get picked up causes problems for the community and the private businesses that are in the neighborhood. We have a great relationship with all of our neighbors in the community, and we want to keep it this way. All parents are expected to follow the school procedure for student pick up by waiting patiently in the parent pickup loop after school.

Another important note - students being picked up after an after school activity should be picked up at the school. Please do not ask your children to meet you off campus. This is a safety concern for your child.

Thank you for your attention to these important matters.

Free and Reduced Lunch Applications

We wanted to make sure that all parents are aware that you can still fill out an application for free/reduced lunches.

Applications are available at the front desk.
