A Great Show!

Each day I am able to witness the wonderful things that students do and participate in. This past Friday was no exception. I was able to see the fall play this weekend.....Defective Detective! It was outstanding! It always amazes me how talented our students are!

As we are now into the 2nd quarter, students are settled in. This Friday, 1st quarter report cards will be available for you to view, and the holidays are right around the corner. I hope your enjoying this weekly newsletter. If you have any ideas for items you would like to see in this weekly newsletter, feel free to email me! Thanks!

Have an enjoyable week!

Updating your Parent/Emergency Contact Information

Having the most up-to-date contact information for parents and students is very important for us here at New Hyde Park Memorial. The Sewanhaka Central High School District requires a record of emergency contact information for parents/guardians or other persons designated by a parent or in the event of an emergency involving their child. The District is asking parents and guardians to annually review accurate and timely information about those designated to be contacted in the event of an emergency. To make this process easy for you, the next time you log into the Parent Portal you will be automatically prompted to update your emergency contact information. (The below button will take you directly to the Parent Portal Log in screen!) Once you have done so, you will not be asked to do this again. Thank you in advance for your participation in updating these records!

Student Safety is of the Utmost Concern!

I know that this was in the last edition - BUT, I can not stress this enough!!! The safety of all our students is first and foremost. I ask that all parents adhere to street signs and the rules of the road. Please do not double park or make U turns on Leonard or Evergreen; drive slowly and wait for students to cross the street. The parking lot off of Evergreen Ave is for staff and buses only, and should not be used as a drop off location. Again, the safety of our students is our number one priority. Thanks for adhering to these simple, yet important "rules of the road."
