It is such a celebration to finish the first full week of school! The staff was so excited to have students in their classroom to build relationships and systems to set students up for a successful year. Thank you for your partnership and grace as we worked through systems. Dismissal is much better now.

I know there are many sides to the mask issue. The current LISD mask mandate is a commitment to trying to keep students and staff safe and our schools open. The additional students wearing a mask help protect not only ourselves but others too. At Tarvin, each class is a family, and they know that each person has individual needs and beliefs. All will be respected. Thank you for your support.

At Tarvin, we wear our school shirts on Monday to celebrate the school week. If you don't have a shirt, your child can wear navy or gold. On Fridays, we celebrate the future so wear a Rouse High School or Glen High School shirt or your favorite college shirt.

We want to partner with you, so please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have. Thank you for sharing your children with us. Have a great weekend.

As a new PTA, we will continue to need to modify our budget as we learn more about our income opportunities and estimated expenses. We want to update you on a few needed amendments to our budget and seek your approval to move forward.

Thank you to everyone who purchased something from our Tarvin Spirit store! All available shirts will be distributed this week. We have placed a second order which is expected to arrive in late September to fulfill the additional orders we received since the open house. In the meantime, we will be delivering the vinyl stickers to your child's classroom this week. Water bottles and backpacks will be distributed by early September, as we're still waiting for them to come in. We appreciate your support and patience and love seeing our students and families embrace the Tarvin spirit! Be on the lookout for future opportunities to purchase additional spirit items.
