2021 AP Exam Information

You will be taking your AP Exam(s) very shortly. For those of you taking exams in-person at Mt Carmel High School arrive at:


7:30 am for the morning session

11:45 am for the afternoon session


Start times for the exams are set by the College Board and cannot be changed. Late students will not be allowed to enter once the test has started. The MCHS behavior code will be enforced. The exam schedule is listed below.

In-Person Exam Information

Lunch: Students taking afternoon exams will be released from classes at 11:15am. The Mt. Carmel cafeteria will offer a modified lunch menu for all students beginning at 11:15am.


Dismissal: Students may not be dismissed until an exam session has officially ended. Do not ask to leave early if you finish before the end of the session, as your request will be denied. If you play a sport or have a job, it will be your responsibility to inform your coach or employer of your AP obligation and arrangements should be made accordingly.


Attendance: You are required to abide by the policies of both the College Board and Mt. Carmel High School during the exam period. Any misconduct will be reported and could jeopardize your AP Exam grade. Please note that you are excused from periods 1-4 for morning exams and periods 4-5 for afternoon exams. Any other period absences must be cleared by parents/guardians, or the student will be considered truant. Attendance will be taken during the exam and submitted to the attendance office.

Digital - At Home Exam Info

Students using PUSD Chromebook for AP Exam(s)

PUSD Chromebooks have the AP Exam App already loaded. See picture below for how to access your digital application. After accessing the app you will need to login to your collegeboard account.

Personal Chromebooks can not be used. PUSD Chromebooks have the app already loaded and it is accessed from the APPS icon in the lower left BEFORE logging into the Chromebook. Students do not login to the Chromebook to access the browser.

Personal Chromebooks cannot be used for the exam.

However, PUSD Chromebooks can be used and the digital application has been installed by the district.

What you need for Digital Exams at Home

Even though you're testing at home you will need to have:

  • Your testing computer and its power cord.
  • Pens or pencils, for scratchwork.
  • An acceptable calculator if your AP Exam allows the use of a calculator.
  • If you don’t attend the school where you’re taking the exam: a current government-issued or school-issued photo ID. (Additional ID may be required by authorized test centers outside the United States.)
  • Your College Board SSD Accommodations Letter if you are taking an exam with approved testing accommodations.
