Kia ora e te whānau,

Great news! The children have received enough GROW tokens to earn a reward so on Monday it is ..... DRESS UP DAY. The theme is P for Paparangi, so it will be interesting to see what ideas children come up with.

Friday is teacher only day, so it is a shorter week for the children. Hopefully you get to enjoy some spring sunshine.

Ngā mihi,

Pounamu Teachers.

Relationship and Sexuality Education - Monday

We have started our Relationship and Sexuality Education programme.

The topic this coming Monday is as follows:

Y2s -Learning outcomes

  • Students will identify and name their body parts.

  • Students will identify private body parts.

Y3s -Learning outcomes

  • Students will describe the different stages of human growth, from birth to old age.

  • Students will describe some of the changes that occur to their bodies during puberty.

This part of the program contains a brief description of how babies are made. This is for the Y3 children only.

For those of you who were unable to come to the parent meeting the link to our presentation is here.

If you have any questions please contact Amanda at amanda@paparangi.school.nz.

Stationery

Many children are finding that they need new stationery.

We sell all the books needed at school and can add the cost to your account for you to pay later. We will send you an email to let you know we have done this. Most of the books are about $3.

Let us know if you would prefer to provide your own or if you have any that were sent home in Term 1 you can return them for us to use.

Thanks.
