All Saints Academy Update
10.22.21

Judee Sani, our Director of Curriculum and Instruction for the Diocese of Stockton and our AVID District Director working with a student in 2nd grade.
An AVID Example...
SLANT is an acronym that stands for Sit up, Listen, Nod your head, Ask questions, and Track the speaker. This skill is applicable in class but also at mass and in the real world. It is a way of showing respect, care, and active involvement to the person speaking.
Hopefully, you see a difference in your kids when they are participating in conversation or listening to a speaker while in a group. Let us know how it goes!

Big thank you to the Arreola Family for donating this 40ft storage container to our school. Gracias Familia Arreola!

The Spelling Bee is coming!
Preliminary Spelling Bee will happen in each classroom during the school day on Friday, October 8. (Closed event as it is during the school day)
The top three students from each GRADE (not class) will participate in our championship spelling bee (at the school) on Friday, November 5 (this is a NEW date).
The top two winners (one from grades 4-6 and one from grade 7-8) will represent our school at the San Joaquin County Spelling Bee in December. If they win, they will represent our county in the STATE spelling bee.
