Ms. Samuels Class Weekly News
Seasons Greatings!!
WELCOME,
Dear Parents,
I want to thank each of you for joining and meeting with me during our parent-teacher conferences for the 1st six weeks. I also want to commend each of you for your support and feedback in regards to the students and our classroom. We are working towards the start of a great year. With the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays approaching, and the 2nd six weeks in motion, the students are continuously learning and building their knowledge on material we have covered in class.
Social Studies
This week we are learning all about communities and the people who keep it safe. The students are picking an influential community helper whom they want to portray in our schools fall parade. The student will also be conducting the parade at the annual Fall Festival. Parents your attendance is welcomed and we hope to see you there!
English Language Arts
This week is all about words that rhyme all the time.
Students are learning to recognize rhyming words and also develop skills that allow them produce words that rhyme. In class the students have worked hard creating their individual sets of flashcards. Please encourage, explore, and practice rhyming with these cards at home.
