It is unbelievable to me that we already in 2nd semester! It is definitely time to embrace a sense of urgency around ALL of our students. As we move forward, we will focus on our two SIP goals:
- We commit to Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports
- We commit to use quality data to drive instruction.
During the next couple of weeks, we will be meeting as PLC teams to participate in Data Dives. I have posted the schedule below. Please report to Patriot Place (D101f) on your designated day and time. Make sure to bring a Chromebook as I will be sharing some exciting district resources with you. As we prepare to work together, let’s remember those wise words we heard in our Tuesday OHI meeting: “We are student driven and data based!” I am looking forward to learning with you!

Shout Outs!
- A big thanks to the ELA members who participated in this month's Grub Hub Club. Our spread and presentation was so obviously Pinterest worthy and not likely something to be outdone anytime soon. Who doesn't love disposable everything and food wrapped in tinfoil or that comes in a plastic box of sorts? I think it's safe to say we have a future in the catering and event planning business. But until then, it was no doubt a big job and it took all hands to make it happen! Thanks to Roger, Cecilia, Cynthia, Jen Beltran, Belinda, Pam, Jen Christensen, Maria Rosen, Fernando Milmo, and Shelene Connally for everything!
- Emily Countryman: Thanks for coming through with coffee when I needed it most. Standing on the ramp of your portable, basking in the warmth of the wintery morning sun while 6th graders frolicked in the field, was almost like standing on the porch of a Tuscan villa overlooking the Italian countryside. Almost.

- Shout out to Michelle Bunn, Emily Countryman, and Hannah Narvaez for an awesome OHI presentation on Tuesday!
Big Thanks
Thank you to our counseling department, specifically David Ely for pulling off Rawlinson's 1st Annual Career Day! The exposure students were given will prove invaluable and next year we will aim for a whole school experience. Thank you to all staff who participated and even helped us bring in volunteer presenters. If you know of someone who would be of interest to our kids and who could showcase an interactive presentation of what they do --start the conversation now. We will launch our Career Day recruitment for next year at the end of this year.
