SIG @ Bryn Mawr
News and views from our third and final week
As our three weeks come to a close, we reflect on what an amazing summer it's been here at SIG Bryn Mawr. Students have enjoyed their classes immensely and are so excited about what they have learned over the last three weeks. We have also had a blast during our recreation time, on trips, and during our evening programs.
We look forward to greeting you when you pick up your children this Friday or Saturday. Please let us know if you have any questions regarding our final activities or check-out procedures.
Closing Ceremony is almost here!
Here are a couple updates and reminders:
Date: Friday, July 25, 2014
Time: 4:45 pm - 5:45 pm
Place: Goodhart Theater #11 on the Bryn Mawr College Map (see map below). The theater is located at 150 North Merion Avenue, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010. The college has requested that we change the previously announced location. There will be plenty of SIG signage to help you find the way!
Parking: Shipley Parking Garage located on Merion Avenue at the intersection of Wyndon Street. The garage is across the street and slightly around the bend from the Goodhart Theater. Easy walking distance!
Student Dress: Please ensure that your son/daughter wears his/her SIG shirt on Friday.
Extended Care: Since the closing ceremony does not begin until 4:45pm, extended care will be provided Friday after class at no cost.
Nurse: All medication can be picked up at the conclusion of the final ceremony from the nurse who will be sitting in the back of the room. A lost and found box will also be available too!

Moving on Out!
Overview: Begins Friday night at 4:30pm and concludes on Saturday at noon. After 4th period (ends at 4:15pm) students will be heading to the Goodhart Theater for the closing ceremony. Parents of Residential Students may collect their student’s key and begin moving him/her out of the dorm at this time. Parents may also collect their student’s key after the final ceremony at 5:45pm or after dinner at 6:45pm. Those wishing to attend the ceremony may move their student out at the times listed below. Any residential student who wishes to remain on campus to attend the dance may attend dinner and check out later Friday night or on Saturday morning. Parents are permitted to move their child out of the dorm during the dance. Please read the key items listed below.

Place: Pembroke East Dorm (# 29 on the map below) GPS location – 220 North Merion Avenue, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010.
Loading: North Merion Avenue outside of Pembroke East Dorm, please put on your 4-way flashers!
Give Backs: Dorm Room Keys will be collected by Bryn Mawr College Staff Friday, from 4:30pm-6:45pm and Saturday, from 10am-Noon in the Pembroke Arch. If you check out between 7:45pm-10:30pm on Friday evening, keys must be returned to SIG staff in the lobby of the Pembroke East dorm.
Signing Out: All residential students must actually sign out on the official list right before they exit campus. If a child moves out and then attends the dance, he/she still must be signed out after the dance in the Pembroke Lobby. All residential students must officially sign out!
Nurse: All medication can be picked up at the conclusion of the final ceremony from the nurse who will be sitting in the back of the theater or in the dorm lobby Friday between 6:45pm and 10:30pm and Saturday between 10am-Noon.
Lost and Found: A lost and found box will be available at all locations!

Always excitement in our evening programs
This week was our Student Talent Show and our campers showcased their musical and dance talents. Thank you to all the campers who participated. Special shout out to the parents who came to the talent show to support our campers.
We also had an awesome time at the Decades Dance. Counselors taught the campers their favorite 90's dance moves and danced the night away.
