Note from the Principals
It is hard to believe our school year is coming to an end. While we miss our traditional last week of school activities, our teachers are working hard to make fun, meaningful memories with their classes all the way to May 22nd.
Your child's teacher has already sent you plans for exchanging items with us next week. Details are as follows:
End of Year Student Belongings Exchange:
- Please have your carpool tag visible.
- Wear a face covering.
- Stay in your vehicle.
- Please do not come if you have been ill, have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the past 14 days, or are currently under isolation/quarantine orders.
Items from home to school:
chromebook and charger;
any library books, teacher guided reading books, or textbooks.
Please put these items in a labeled bag in your trunk so our staff can quickly pick them up.
Items from school to home:
desk supplies (pencil bags, markers, crayons, etc.), folders, spirals;
consumable workbooks;
any belongings from the student’s locker & clinic.
Our staff will put a paper bag with your child's items in your trunk.
PICK UP SCHEDULE:
Staff members will be in the FRONT DRIVE from 9:30-10:30 AM each day.
Monday, May 18th - Fifth Grade
Tuesday, May 19th - Fourth Grade
Wednesday, May 20th - Third Grade
Thursday, May 21st - Second Grade & ALC/ELC Units
Friday, May 22nd - Kinder & First Grade
If you have students in multiple grades, come to the oldest student’s designated time and let our staff members know your other student’s name.

Fifth Grade Graduation: May 19
Our graduating fifth graders will be celebrated through a virtual ceremony on May 19th. Teachers and parents have put together a great plan to assure that these student leave with fantastic memories!
Yearbooks
Yearbooks are scheduled for delivery in July. Details will follow upon arrival.

PTA General Meeting
Dear Parents,
A general meeting of the Skaggs Elementary PTA will be held on May 18, 2020 at 5:30 pm. This will be the last general meeting of the year. We will be electing our slate of Officers for next year's PTA Executive Board.
Due to the closure of all PISD schools, this meeting will be held virtually via Zoom. In order to attend this meeting, you must register in advance. Registration MUST be completed by May 16th. Please use this link to register your attendance: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KTHLXGJ
On May 17th we will send you a Zoom link via email. You MUST be a member of the Skaggs Elementary PTA to vote, although guests are welcome to register and attend.
