TEACHER & FAMILY CONFERENCES - Each Wednesday in MAY
UPDATED VISION AND MISSION STATEMENT
We need your help in making meaning with our new school mission and vision statement. A Vision and Mission statement when combined, provides a statement of our purpose, goals, and values. This lengthy process, that started as an action plan for instructional shifts blossomed into a Vision and Mission statement. This work began with a small group of teacher leaders and then went to the whole staff in various forms. After receiving feedback from different staff groups and working on multiple drafts, we created this:
Students at Little Mountain have VOICE and POWER in their learning experiences!
At Little Mountain we seek to cultivate student voice by valuing students’ diverse experiences, strengthening family partnerships, and providing high quality teaching.
Our students and families' voices matter.
Last week we shared this with the school board, and now we are asking students and families to help us making meaning from these words. Your input will allow us to develop actionable goals for next year. There are a variety of ways to participate. We only need one response per family. Please complete the Google Form, attached here or in Seesaw/Blackboard or the paper packet sent home with your student. We are excited to partner with you in the continued work of making Little Mountain an amazing place!
We would like to collect responses by May 7th. We will be reaching out to families that would like to be part of a small group that will support the work around building goals. Please indicate on the survey or paper if you would like to be involved.
