Dear Schlegel Families,
THANK YOU for a successful first two days of school! The support and love we felt from our families were evident in the phone calls, emails, and the car loop. We have MANY new systems in place and your support and kindness energized us as we worked through the kinks! Families who are using our carpool system, please watch the short video to learn about how we would like you to use the ANNOUNCE feature. (The pick-up procedures video can be found below)
- Please take the time to watch the Schlegel Staff Pictures found below! We have some new members as well as changes within grade levels.
- Please plan to routinely access the parent portal to learn about your child's schedule, placement, and attendance. At times information will be only posted on the Parent Portal. You can download the app on your phone to make it easier.
- Please plan to read the Return to School Handbook. You will find resources to assist you with the transition back to school.
Our new Arrival and Dismissal process will help us expedite students being picked up and dropped off. Please note the following:
BUSES AND UPK DRIVERS
- BUSES and UPK Drivers will use the bus loop for arrival and dismissal.
- BUSES will arrive first.
- UPK Drivers, please do not enter the BUS loop until your assigned time.
Kindergarten, First, Second, Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grade Drivers
- K-5 Drivers will use the perimeter of the LARGE parking lot to line up for drop-off and pick-up.
- CLICK the Announce button when you see the staff holding the sign. IF you can't choose that option, please stop. The staff member will put your code in for you.
- Schlegel Staff will let you know when your child should depart the vehicle.
- Drivers REMAIN in their vehicle.
Drivers who have UPK students and K-5 students being dropped off together at Schlegel
- Use the Bus Loop to drop off and pick up your child(ren).
- BUSES will arrive first.
- Please do not enter the BUS loop until your assigned time.
WonderCare Families
- Use the small parking lot to drop off and pick up your child(ren).
- Please plan on dropping and picking your child off at the side Door 5 (marked above the door)
In order to make this process timely and efficient, I am asking all parents to download the pikmykid app. Click here to see the Arrival and Dismissal Traffic Flow Map.
Thank you for helping us transition into the new school year!
