Holy Conversations
From Slavery to Freedom
Join us for a very special panel discussion on the eighth day of Passover as we listen to the true stories of two Holocaust survivors, Sara Schwartz (Auschwitz) and Frank Baum (Mauthausen) and their stories from slavery to freedom as part of a panel discussion moderated by Rabbi David Baum.
The program will begin after services on the 8th day of Passover along with a light kiddish.
There is no cost for the event, but we are looking for sponsors ($72 each) to help defray the cost of this event. The $72 number, in this case, is symbolic. The number 18 in Hebrew (chet yud) spells the word, Chai, which means life. As any survivor can attest, they have lived at least two lives, one life before the Holocaust, and one life after they were liberated, which comes out to 36. Since we will have two survivors speaking, we doubled the number to 72, representing the lives that these two special individuals have lived. For more information, please contact Rabbi Baum directly at rabbibaum@shaareikodesh.org.
