Afternoon Pick-Up Schedule Changes


Due to changes in bus routes, we had to make some changes to our afternoon pick-up schedule. After the first two days of school, administration met to make adjustments to car pick up procedures.

Please read carefully the procedures for picking up your child so we can ensure their safety. Here are the changes taking place:


Parents with students in grades K-2 ONLY may start arriving on campus prior to 2:30 pm


Parent with students in K-2 AND 3-5 should not arrive on campus prior to 2:55 pm.


Parent with students in 3-5 should not arrive on campus prior to 2:55 pm.


Parents with both K-3 AND middle school students should not arrive on campus before 3:15 pm.


Parents with both 4th and/or 5th-grade student(s) AND middle school students should not arrive on campus before 3:15 pm.


Parents with middle school students should not arrive on campus before 3:15 pm.


Parents wishing to have their student walk home will need to complete the following:

  • Contact the front office for permission form.
  • Provide proof of residency to front office
  • They will provide a walking tag


Parents wanting to walk to elementary pickup to get your student, we ask that you bring your car tag. While our new employees are in the process of learning names and families, it will expedite the process if we had tags to know which adults are allowed to pick up students.

Also, in order to alleviate the crowds on the elementary side, we would ask all parents wait on the kindergarten side of pickup while staff members bring students to you.

In addition to the normal beginning of the school year traffic, the construction on 389 has had traffic held up in all directions. We ask that you be patient and flexible while we try to find the best plan for car pickup. We realize every year things are always a little chaotic the first two weeks of school but hang tight, we promise it will get better.

You will not need to attend Open House on August 17, 2017. The orientation for Kindergarten was held on August 10, 2017.

Welcome Guidance Counselors!

We are so excited to introduce our Guidance Counselors for the 2017-2018 School Year!

Lee Carter is our returning Guidance Counselor and she will be serving Kindergarten-4th Grade.

Debbie Johnson is new to Bay Haven but brings many years of experience to our school. She will be serving 5th Grade students and special services.

Teri Frazier is also new to Bay Haven, but not new to guidance. She comes with twenty years of experience. She will be serving 6th-8th grade students.

PTSP Needs Your Help

Please drop off gently used uniforms in the PTSP uniform box located in the cafeteria. The next pop up shop sale is coming up soon and PTSP would love to have more items to sale. Thanks for your help in making this activity a success.

Tommy Hilfiger Update

Tommy Hilfiger is offering 15% through Tuesday, August 15th. Place your order soon!

We are excited to announce that the Tommy Hilfiger website is up and running! Tommy Hilfiger will be our new online provider.

Follow the link below to purchase school approved uniforms.

Our in town uniform provider is still Zoghbys so feel free to visit them to purchase uniforms as well. They are very helpful and will assist you in finding the appropriate uniform for your child.

Although we are no longer offering uniforms through Land's End, we will continue to honor all Land's End uniform purchases made this summer.

We are targeting August 2020 for full implementation of the Bobcat logo.

A Message from Miss Holmes-Music Teacher

I look forward to seeing each of your kindergarten through 5th graders during their special area music time this year!! Elementary Music Syllabus

Buccaneer/Bobcat Soccer Academy

Buccaneer/Bobcat Soccer Academy will be starting Wednesday, August 14th and will run through September 20th. Sessions will be every Wednesday from 3:00-4:00 and is being offered to boys and girls 3rd-6th grade. Spots are limited so sign up today! View the attached form for registration and more details!

Health Room Update

Students BEGINNING 7TH GRADE in the 2017-18 school year are REQUIRED by Florida Law to have a TDap and the 2nd VZV (Varicella/Chicken Pox) Vaccination. PLEASE ENSURE YOU BRING IN PROOF OF VACCINATION NO LATER THAN AUGUST 18TH.

If your child will take a daily medication during the 2017-18 school year, a "Permission to Administer Medication" form is required for each medication. Please plan to drop their medication off during the supply drop off days just prior to the first day of classes.

2017-2018 Calendar

Why do we start so early?

Good question! Here are some great benefits to our new school calendar:

  • Start August 10th
  • We will still observe national holidays, Sept. 4th, Oct. 9th, Nov. 10th, Jan. 15th, and Feb. 19th.
  • In addition, we will have Thanksgiving November 20th thru 24th and Spring Break March 19th thru 23rd.
  • Christmas holidays will be Dec. 21st (half day) thru Jan. 8th. That's 18 days off with 3 weekends included! Enjoy!
  • Students will finish the first semester prior to Christmas break and the third nine-weeks prior to Spring Break. . . meaning, these breaks will be family time without the worry of studying for exams!
  • All students and teachers will complete the school year before Memorial Day!

2017-2018 is going to be the best year yet!
