Mercury:The small one

Movements of Mercury
Mercury orbits the sun in 88 earth days,The rotation period for Mercury is 59 earth days. So its day is almost as long as its year. Mercury orbits the sun the quickest.
The name Mercury
The name mercury came from the roman messenger to the gods. He has wings on his helemet and shoes, this makes him fly quick just like how mercury orbits the sun fast.
From Mariner 10 it showed that Mercury has features like our Moon barren and cratered, and that Mercury had the same layers of the planet (core, Mantle, and Crust). Then Messenger showed that it also had active volcanoes and volcanic plains. Messenger says Mercury is living with volcanic life, the main question about Mercurys features is, is the basin smooth or not?
Mercury has no moons that orbit it, but the sun moves across the sky in a different way. It is also very close to the sun, so we can only see it right before the sun comes up.
With Mercurys awkward orbit the tempatures are either extremely hot or extremely cold. When it is closer to the sun the tempature can get to 480 degrees celsius, thats hot enough to melt led. when its not by the sun it can get to -180 degrees celcius.
Mercury has no atmosphere so it gets alot of solar flares, it is also very hot like the beach x300. There is also a constant stream of particles coming from the outer layer of the sun. Since we cant send humans we have sent to voyagers called Mariner 10 and messenger who have taken many photos there.
The core of Mercury has a magnetic feild that is a hunderedth the size of earths. The Basin was formed by an astroid hit.
