Decision on Chromebooks
After much conversation and consideration of the input from all stakeholder groups (staff, students and caregivers), the decision has been made and Eastern will proceed with the 1:1 model for the 2023-2024 school year.
Please note that although this may feel familiar, this model will be implemented much differently than previous years. Important issues were raised about the need for increased responsibility for caring for the devices, outlining expectations, digital responsibility and obligations for vandalized devices (particularly repeated vandalism). Our school team will work on creating communication for clarity and messaging will begin this summer about the expectations for the upcoming school year. Thank you for participating in the discussion.
CLEAN OUT LOCKERS- BE GREEN
The Green Team is asking students to please recycle or even better, REUSE/REPURPOSE as much as possible from lockers as we prepare for the end of the year. They will work with building services to place recycling containers during the event in each hallway, will move the recyclables to the dumpsters, and collect any unused/unwanted school supplies for donations to future students. Caregivers, please remind your student which items (if any) you need them to bring home, reuse, donate, etc. Thank you for being Green as you prepare for summer break, Eastern Eagles!
8th Grade Chromebook Return 6/5-6/7
8th Grade students need to return all school-issued devices (chromebook, charger, bag) on their assigned day June 5th-7th.
- Chromebooks that are not returned will cost $150.
- Chargers that are not returned will cost $25.
