Literacy
In Writer's Workshop we have now transitioned to using lined paper. We are focusing on using a capital at the beginning and punctuation at the end. Please practice sounding out simple CVC (consonant, vowel, consonant) words at home with a focus on the **middle sound.
Math
We celebrated the 100th day of school and had many math related centers focused on the number 100. We also learned some graphing shape games for Work Places during math time.

Yearbook Orders
Put in the following yearbook ID code 12128319
The order deadline is March 29, 2019.
Winter Weather
Please make sure your child has snow pants, boots, jacket, gloves, and a hat every day.
If you have any extras and would like to donate (gloves, mittens, or hats) I am collecting and keeping some for those that may forget or don't have any.
Thanks for the support!
Star of the Week
When your child is Star of the Week, I will send home a poster the week before for them to complete. They can draw pictures or use real pictures. Please have them return the poster the following Monday for sharing. For that week they will be line leader and calendar helper. On Friday of that week they can bring in *one show and tell item to share with the class.
Supplies in Need
We're good for now! Thanks for those that sent things in!
Birthdays
At Crestview Elementary School we take time during morning announcements to highlight students who are celebrating their birthdays. This includes announcing their names and grade levels over the school wide intercom system. If for any reason you do not want your child’s name and birthday announced, please reach out to Janet Ellis, Office Coordinator, in our front office and she will make note of the request.
A reminder that due to life threatening allergies students should not be bringing birthday treats to school this year.
