Be sure to save the date for P-H-M's annual Young Authors' Conference for elementary students grades K-5. This year's event registration is FREE thanks to Superintendent Dr. Jerry Thacker & other generous #GivingTuesday donors to the P-H-M Education Foundation! Registration opens Monday, Jan. 30 so be sure to register early. Details at phmschools.org/YAC2023.

We are so excited to bring back One School One Book again this year! This event is so special as every student at Moran will recieve a copy of our chosen book, Frindle. Staff members record the chapters so students and families can listen to the book read aloud at home or you can read it together as a family! Linked below is the 'Flip' website where the chapters will be shared. Students who comment on these videos and answer the questions asked will be entered into a drawing for prizes! We hope you and your whole family enjoys the book and learning what a Frindle is!

Please be sure to check out the Community Events page on the P-H-M website. It includes a listing of non-school activities and events made available to P-H-M students and families by area organizations. It includes events like Girls on the Run, Upward Sports Soccer League, Potawatomi Zoo Events and many more.

All our students are taking some mid-year testing to let teachers know what they've learned so far, and what we need to focus on for the rest of the year! Grades K-2 are taking Middle of Year (MOY) DIBELS and grades 3-5 are taking the ClearSight Interim for the second time.

You will be able to log into Skyward on January 20th to check your child's 2nd quarter report card.

Finally, please mark your calendars for these important testing windows. Teachers can give you more specific dates of testing for your child but attendance during these windows is very important! Please avoid planning vacations or days off school during these times.
