One School, One Book Begins Today!!!

This year students in grades K-5 will be reading the novel, The Enormous Egg, by Oliver Butterworth. Students will need to read one chapter each night, and will also need to read a chapter over the weekend. The reading schedule is included inside the front cover of the book. Each family will receive one copy of the book to share. Mrs. Gritz would like for parents to read with their children each night. For fifth graders, parents can listen along as your child reads to you. Remember to stop periodically while your child is reading to ask questions about what is going on in the story. There will be trivia quizzes each morning on SNN news and a wrap up assembly on January 29th.

No Reader Response Journals This Week!

Since we are participating in One School, One Book, my students will not have to complete their Reader Response Journals for homework for the next three weeks. I hope everyone will enjoy reading with their child each night.
