Articles not available in full text can be requested through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Contact the library for help with ILL.

Off-campus access to most online databases requires a username and password. When prompted, you should enter your MyVilla username and password combination.

  • ARTstor Be sure to register for an account in the top right corner using your Villa Maria College email address!
  • Women's Wear Daily Available on campus only; no off campus access.

Search for Books, eBooks, Print Journals and DVDs

The library's online catalog, Alexandria, can be used to find both books and ebooks.

Books in the standard collection may be borrowed for three weeks. Books placed on reserve by your professor will have a shorter loan period. Books not available from the library can be borrowed through AcademicSHARE or Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Contact the library for help. To find items held by Villa and other libraries, try WorldCat.

Books on the Shelves

Books can be checked out for 3 weeks and renewed up to two times. Contact the library to renew your books.

Find current and archived journals in the South Room in the library. Print journals can be borrowed for one week. Some additional titles are also available for single issues and archives.

Fashion Plate Collection from the University of Washington's Libraries

Fashion plates, illustrations showcasing new or current fashions, from journals of the 19th and early 20th century are available in this digital collection. Use the sample searches to view plates from particular time periods available.

This UK museum hold one of the world's best collections of art and design. The V&A Online Journal is a valuable resource for articles.
