Homework
- due Friday, 2/19 - Bring a reliable article to class on the topic of technology, dating, and relationships (can be friendships and families). With your family, locate an article with substantiated evidence. Have the article in class on FRIDAY or you will be fired from your group and be responsible for the research project on your own. Think about the reliability of your source. Wikipedia is NOT a reliable source.

Attach your essay to the google classroom assignment.

Parent Information
The six weeks will be ending soon. Please check your child's grades and encourage them to take care of missing work and redos.
Next six weeks, the grading for the essays and written response will change. Currently, students scoring a 1, or insufficient response are getting a 70 in the gradebook, next six weeks this score will not earn a passing grade. Students who are scoring a 4, or limited response, on the essays will also not receive a passing grade next six weeks. The students know what to do, and just need to put forth the effort to do it. I am pleased with the progress the majority of the students are making on their writing skills. If you have questions about your child's progress, the scoring, or the expectations, please let me know.
It's hard for me to believe we are more than halfway through this year. As always, feel free to contact me with any concerns.
