Principal's Message
Wow, what an incredible week! Thank you for all that you did to show the staff how much you appreciate them!!!! I know that every staff member felt valued and loved. A special thanks to our PTA Board members, Joann Frisby, Angela Kane, Val Gremillion, and Kavita Arora for all the work done to organize it!
It's hard to believe that there are only 20 school days left! In next week's newsletter, I will share dates for end-of-the-year events and activities.
Finally, Happy Mother's Day to all of the incredible moms!! May you have a day of joy, peace, and an abundance of love.
Best,
Alli Landstrom

Soon staff and I will begin to develop the class lists for the 2021-2022 school year. Parents will again have the opportunity to complete the Optional Parent Input Form 21/22 . The purpose of this form is to share information you feel would be helpful in placing your child, so he/she can have the best year possible. Please know that our staff spends an extensive amount of time to create class lists. We consider each child’s unique learning and behavioral needs to place them in the best learning environment. If you feel you have information that may help us in this process, please complete the form and submit it by Friday, May 21st. If you have any questions regarding the completion of the form or the process, please contact me!
IPEF
IPEF’s Gifts of Gratitude Year-End Program
The Indian Prairie Educational Foundation is offering an opportunity to pay tribute to teachers and staff members through its Gifts of Gratitude year-end program. Open to all, but especially for those students who will be moving to the next level of their education, express your appreciation during this graduation/promotion season. By making a tax-deductible donation in the honoree’s name, you express your gratitude for the staff member going “above and beyond” for your child. Each educator honored will receive a personalized certificate with a custom message from you. Please submit your donation and custom message here by May 21 to ensure delivery by the end of the school year.

News from the LMC
Curbside Book Pick-Up:
- Did you know that Peterson LMC has been providing contactless Curbside Book Pick-Up since October? The LMC will continue to do this for the rest of the school year. Additionally, we are also going to deliver books to classrooms for our In-Person learners too! Reading is so important to learning. The more practice students get, the better they are at reading! We want to give students as many opportunities as possible to find books that they enjoy!
- Below you will find a flyer for the process. A video is also within the flyer. The video explains the process and shows students how to place holds through our online catalog that all students have access to through the SSO.
- It's simple, safe, and contactless! Please know that when books are returned, they are quarantined and then cleaned before being put back into circulation! Please see the attached flyer. If you have any questions, please reach out to me with questions via email: ann_schimmoler@ipsd.org It is my hope that your child uses this process to select books from the LMC. We have a library of books waiting to be read! :) ~ Mrs. Schimmoler
