Asana On the Rocks
Rock Climbing and Yoga Retreat
Hosted by Kentucky Rock and Adventure Guides & Delicious Octopus Yoga Retreats
Get ready to rock. Get ready to retreat.
Your day begins by waking up hearing birds chirping around you and smelling the sweet, crisp Kentucky mountain air. You emerge from your sleeping bag feeling rested and excited about the adventurous day ahead. You get to practice yoga in the outdoors, grounded by the mountains around you. Your morning yoga class is fluid and gentle and further wakes you and your spirit. You will notice subtle shifts, as you open and breathe more consciously; more deeply. You leave class feeling calm and content, ready to conquer the day ahead!
Next, we will enjoy a hearty breakfast prepared with love using fresh and nutritious ingredients. Afterwards, we will make our way out into the wilderness for a full day of heart pounding climbing and repelling. A fulfilling lunch will be served cliff side as you giddily relive the day’s activities.
Finally, our evening begins with a yoga class consisting of restorative yoga postures, followed by a quiet meditation to welcome in the moon and stars. Lastly you will enjoy a glass of wine and a scrumptious meal around a campfire and friends.

You Are So Much Stronger Than You Realize:
Incorporating yoga and rock climbing techniques together can exponentially deepen awareness, courage, and strength. Both Rock climbing and yoga requires awareness of our physical form and bring clarity to our thoughts, actions, and words. When we work from the heart and begin to remove the thoughts or patterns that do not serve us, we find that naturally things begin to balance. We begin to feel coherent and peaceful throughout our mind, body, and soul. Then from there, we learn to apply these same principles to all areas of our life.
You will be guided by certified instructors who will teach you how to safely practice in the present moment. We believe in a value based teachings that promote work culture, self-discipline, and consciousness.
•With the help of yoga sessions and relaxation techniques, you will feel open and relaxed. You will also practice energy conservation and balancing techniques.
•Each day you will learn up to date climbing techniques to help you fully participate in your rock climbing experience. This will include belaying, knots, terminology, grading, and climbing philosophy.
• By connecting with the Earth in a whole new way, you will feel more grounded and able to overcome feelings of fear or uncertainty.
•You will walk away with a new set of very amazing friends for life.
