December 2015

LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENTS

Dear Level Creek Families,

It has been a busy month at Level Creek! Reflections was a huge success this year thanks to the hard work of Kristin Gillespie and Ute Matthee. This year we had 126 entries at Level Creek and 23 entries went on to the county level. Eight of the entries are continuing on to the state level. Reflections is an excellent way for students to highlight their artistic skills and the students did a great job representing our school!

Our fall fundraiser dollars are already being well-used as media center upgrades have begun! Over the next few months you will see the media center transform into an incredible, fun, inviting, collaborative learning environment. With PTA funds, we were able to purchase additional technology for collaboration as well as all of the furniture to support the technology upgrades the county is implementing. We are thrilled to provide something for the media center, as this is a place that all of our students enjoy on a daily basis.

Please plan to join us on Monday, December 14 for our next general PTA meeting in the cafeteria. The meeting will follow the 6 pm chorus concert and will begin a few minutes before the 7 pm concert.

It is hard to believe that we are already setting our sights on this year's Winter Carnival. Please mark your calendars for Saturday, February 6th from 2:00-5:00 pm for the Annual Level Creek Winter Carnival! For those of you who may be new to our school, our Winter Carnival is an amazing event that is held each year for Level Creek students and their families. The Winter Carnival includes entertainment, inflatables, food, games and much more!

Thank you for all of the gift cards that were donated to make this year's silent auction baskets. The baskets are always a huge part of the Winter Carnival, as well as a great fundraiser for the school.

Thank you for everything you do to support Level Creek and our PTA!

Your PTA Co-Presidents,

Michelle Frost and JoEllyn Robinson
