The Iranian Hostage Crisis deals with fifty-two american people held hostage in Iran for four hundred and forty four days. Also the Iranian Hostage Crisis happened because an Islamic fundamentalist government came to power. The Iranian Hostage Crisis started on November 4, 1979 and ended on January 20, 1981. The military was involved.
James E. Carter Jr. was the president during the Iranian Hostage Crisis. Jimmy Carter tried to negotiate with Iran to release the hostages. Carters plan ended up taking the remainder of his presidency. Also Carter announced that he would not leave the whit house until the hostages were back home.
