Principal Newsletter of the Month

What happened & What's next?

December was a short month for school days and there is not much to report from the last newsletter. As always though, we are proud of our most recent students of the month. The students earning this awesome recognition are Cora Kempfer, Luke Proefrock, Abigail Bigler, Kian Elliott, Gwen Cherella, Jared Sudbrink, Trinity Kreckel, and Cameron Musbach.

The 6th grade participated in their annual field trip to see A Christmas Carol at the Pabst Theatre in Milwaukee. The students are always amazed to see the live performance and rotating stage in action.

The student body was also entertained when they attended the Holiday Dance on December 14. Their outfits were amazing and the open gym is always a big attraction for students to come and burn off some of their never ending energy.

As we look ahead, the winter MAP testing starts today, Monday, January 7. Students will be taking their tests in their aligned block classes. The reading tests will occur on January 7 & 8, math on January 9 & 10, and concluding with science on January 14 & 15. Please help your student be prepared to do their best by getting a good night of sleep and healthy breakfast to start their day.

This is a reminder that the end of first semester is right around the corner. Students do not have school on Monday, January 21. The start of second semester is then Tuesday, January 22.

Attention 8th grade parents, the GHS experience is coming up on Monday, January 28. This is a great opportunity for you to learn about GHS and all the great things your student will be able to participate in at the high school level. Look for more details to come in the Falcon Flyer and from the high school as well.
