Bear News!
Way to Go Bears!! Showing the BCE Way!- September 9th
Message from the office.
Hello BCE Community
Well, it was another great week at BCE. The weather was so much cooler and made recess and learning so much funner. The district is working hard to install the remaining 6 AC units, so hopefully, we will be ready when and if the weather gets hot again. But I am hoping for "if" :)
We had our first Bear Paw store today. It was a huge success. Please ask your students about it and most importantly the reasons they received the Bear Paws. Thank you to the parent volunteers that worked the store today.
I wanted to share some language about lockdowns with everyone. I know Monday's Lockdown was a surprise, but I am very impressed with how the staff and students handled everything. We followed protocol and ensured everyone's safety. I had a few families ask for additional information regarding the incident. Please note that I gave the information I could at the time of my message. At this time, I can share the incident was not an imminent danger to the school, but the lockdown was due to a custody issue that required police involvement. Please know that my first priority is to ensure the safety of all of our students and staff. The District office will be putting together further information on the types of lockdowns, please be looking for that in the coming weeks.
I hope you can join us for the Ice Cream Social by the Parent Club on Friday, September 30th. Going to be such a fun event and supports our 5th graders going to Science Camp.
I wanted to share a resource from the CDE. It is a fantastic resource for free homework help and 1:1 virtual tutoring. Please visit the website and check it out.
As always, please let us know if you need anything. Have a great weekend
