Importance of School Attendance
We want our students in school everyday to help them develop with consistent instruction and social interactive opportunities. When students are not well, home is the right place to be. Otherwise, SCHOOL is our students’ ‘JOB’. As with any ‘job’, it is important to be on time, be present, and work hard. For our students, their ‘job’ is also fun and engaging. We realize that sometimes there may be a situation that necessitates an independent study, but this should be a rarity. If you have any attendance/independent students questions, feel free to contact our office staff.
Here are some important dates to calendar and plan appointments/vacations around ensuring that students can grow and develop in school.

RUSD is Hiring!
Dear Rocklin Unified Student, Families, and Community Members:
As we are approaching the end of August, the Rocklin Unified School District (RUSD) continues to actively recruit to fill vacancies at schools.
Currently, we are accepting applications for Instructional and Special Education Aides. If you would like to work part time or full time hours on a RUSD campus, please apply as an Instructional Aide to learn more information!
Are you looking for a job outside of the classroom? Rocklin Unified has positions in the cafeteria as Nutrition Service Workers to assist with the preparation and serving of meals to students. Flexible daily schedules are available. While all RUSD bus routes are currently covered, we continue to train and hire more Bus Drivers to safely transport students to school on time every day. Training is available as well as four-hour flexible daily schedules for qualified candidates. The Department of Maintenance and Grounds is actively seeking candidates looking to help keep our facilities, fields, and playgrounds in top shape throughout the school year.
In addition, we are always looking for substitutes for all positions (teachers or support staff).
If you are interested or know of anyone that would be an excellent fit to join the Rocklin Unified family, please encourage them to learn more to apply by visiting www.edjoin.org/RocklinUSD.
Sincerely,
Rocklin Unified School District
