Coming Home Today . . . . . .

Special Spirit Day (Pajama Day) next Tuesday!

One of my very favorite things to do as a Principal is to visit our classes and share in the experience of reading and thinking and talking about great literature. When Dr. Weitzel was the Principal of Warwick, he too shared this love of reading aloud with students.

In fact, since leaving Warwick and serving as Assistant Superintendent, and Superintendent, he has returned every year and continued this tradition by reading to different grade levels. Warwick still benefits from Dr. Weitzel's leadership these many years later, and since he is retiring at the end of this school year, we wanted to give him his largest read aloud audience yet.

On Tuesday, December 22nd Dr. Weitzel will be having a whole-school read aloud!! We'd like to invite the students to wear pajamas and look forward to sharing in this experience this last time with our former Principal, current Superintendent of Schools, mentor, friend, and colleague.

Annual Giving Project Update!

We have been very busy collecting 196 hats, mittens and scarves for our Giving Tree to be donated to Christ's Home in Warminster. Also, we have collected enough food to fill 24 pantries for our families in need. Our elves have been busy wrapping gifts for our families to have a very special holiday! Thanks to all for helping to make this 2015 Holiday season so special for those within and around our school community!

Turkey Toss Update!

We collected $324.00 from the Turkey Toss to help fund our Giving Project! The students had a great time during the Annual Turkey Toss. The results are in. In the K-2 category there was a tie between Mrs. Hartzell and Mrs. Reed's class. The tie breaker will be decided this week during Phys. Ed. class. In the 3-6 category the winner is Miss Wismer's 4th grade class! The Turkey Trophy will remain in Miss Wismer's class for the remainder of the school year. Congratulations!
