Summer Camp 2019

We are looking forward to a FANTASTIC summer camp this year!! Our elementary students (Rising 1st Grade and older) will have a wonderful time full of block rotations including STEAM, Art, Drama, Cooking, and more!! We will have several field trips and special in-school visitors and cool activities each week. As always, our schedules are flexible to meet the individual needs of each family, and those forms will be available by the beginning of May. In addition, our specialty camp and activity calendars will be ready then!

Our rising Kindergarten students (current Pre-Kindergarteners) will also this year have the ability to take advantage of the flexible scheduling as those students will be part of our camp program and get to experience the great activities, continued learning, and fun specialty camps!! This is a great new addition for all of these families!

Reminder that all rising Kindergarten and older need to submit summer registration by April 1st!

Ladies and Lads Dance - Friday, April 5th

Our Ladies and Lads Dance (formerly known as Buckaroo Ball) will be a memorable evening for our male students and the special adult(s) in their lives! At your request, this will be a "dress up" event with a delicious barbeque dinner served! Come for some great food, yummy dessert, beautiful photos, and some serious dancing!! We will be having a "mom vs. kids" dance off too!!

Tickets are available in each office are available through Wednesday, March 27th. Tickets are $20/adults, $10/students four and older, and $5/students three and younger.

Do not miss out on this wonderful night with your son!!

Mixed Bags sales

We currently running our most popular fundraiser - Mixed Bags Designs! These are great, affordable, and incredibly useful products including totes, storage, and other fun household items! We have samples in each office, and I can tell you from personal experience that these are high quality items that hold up really well! These make great Mother's Day gifts too! Orders and payments must be turned in by Monday, April 1st.

Reading Month

We are currently in our Reading Month (which is actually running March 18-April 18 this year)! This is an exciting time for our students to track their minutes for their reading and see the rewards for their reading! Students need to record their minutes all month long and bring their forms back each Monday in their yellow folders for the teachers to get the total number of minutes read in their classrooms. We will reflect our total minute tracker week by week in the elementary office! Help to cheer on our students (and encourage more reading) to reach their school goal of 93,000 minutes to be able to make a group of our teachers (including me) into human ice cream sundaes on April 18th! Every 2,000 minutes on top of 93,000 adds an extra ice cream topping to the human sundaes!!

Every elementary classroom is also reading The Chocolate Touch, and we have had / will continue to have fun school wide activities with this novel! We made fun chocolate puffy paint yesterday for some beautiful (and tasty) art! Watch for our other great projects yet to come!

Referral Program

You are our best referrals to have new families join our Merryhill family, and we truly appreciate you sharing your experiences and our school with your families, friends, and co-workers!

As a reminder, when you refer a family, you earn a free week of tuition for one child after the new student has been enrolled for 3 months!! In addition, we will be doing a raffle drawing from all of our family referrals between March 15th and April 15th for great Merryhill gear and prizes, as well as a $50 Chili's gift card! We will announce our winner on April 15th!
