Our message this week is from the Specials Team....

Last Friday, we had a great time with the Norris students during specials time. We introduced the buddy bench and had the entire school sign the large sign that will hang on the playground. The sign says “We have the power to be bully free.” We discussed what a bully is and what bullying looks like. We also talked about what to do if you are being bullied or are a bystander to bullying. We addressed the difference between bullying and conflict. The specials team acted out several different scenarios for bullying and conflict. The students got a kick out of this but we believe we got our point across. We also discussed expected and unexpected behaviors and little problems vs big problems. Again, the students got to see our wonderful acting skills and we put on several excellent performances.

Our hopes, as a specials team, is that the students received the information needed and are now knowledgeable about bullying, conflict, expected and unexpected behaviors and little vs. big problems (using hand signals).

Have a great weekend!

Our sincerest apologies to the Dean Family...

We inadvertently left out their Veteran's Day family picture from our slide show that we presented during our program on Wednesday. Please see the below photograph of David Keithley, Army, Retired Lt. Colonel, Grandfather of Landon Dean. Thanks for your service to our country.
