## Peek at the Week

History & Science

The next two weeks students will be learning about heat, light, and sound energy. Students will also be participating in a reader's theater to learn about Alexander Graham Bell and do more fun labs about sound and light. The sound and light unit study guide will be sent home on Monday, Nov 23rd and the test will be on Dec. 1st.

Language Arts

We are busy reading in our new guided reading groups! This week we will also be reading a story called "Crinkleroot's Guide to Knowing Animal Habitats." Students will be working on non-fiction summary writing. We will also be working hard on recognizing run-on and fragmented sentences in our own writing.

Spelling

Please help remind your child to practice their spelling words. There will be no spelling the week of Thanksgiving since it is a very short week!

Character Education

Each month students should bring in examples of the monthly character trait to hang on our class bulletin board. November's trait is RESPONSIBILITY.

If your child is unable to do Reflex Math at home because of lack of computer/internet access please email me and I will send home worksheets and flashcards.
