Manhattan High School Update
September 2022
A Quick Note from Mrs. Howells
MHS Students & Families,
The year is off to a great start! It has been wonderful to see the halls filled with students and staff each morning. I am eager to get to know each of our students and celebrate their successes throughout the year. Thank you to students and their families for getting the required documents back to the office for internet use and handbook acknowledgement. If your student has not returned the signed form, please have them turn it in to Mrs. Grevious at the HS office ASAP. Until we have the proper paperwork, students without permission will not be allowed to use District devices or have internet access.
I am also very proud to say that our students have been respectful and responsive to the new policies and handbook updates that were made this year. Some of the major areas that have been updated include our Closed Campus, Student Appearance, Vehicle Access, and Grading policies. Please refer to the student handbook below for more information.
Lastly, we want to encourage students, families, and community members to attend the many events we have coming up with our athletics and activities. Our students have put in countless hours to practice and prepare, so it would be great to pack the stands and show our support. With this we also want to reiterate the importance of good sportsmanship. We're there to support our students and show our Tiger pride. Spectator passes for home events can be purchased at the HS office. If passes are not purchased, we ask attendees to pay at our ticket tables that will be setup at each home event. We have registers available to accept check, cash AND cards this year both at the gate and at our concessions stand. We look forward to seeing everyone at the events!
We have exceptional individuals in our High School both at the student and staff levels. As the year moves forward, I know the Tigers will rise up and continue to set the bar high. Thanks for the support and encouragement you bring to the MHS community. It's going to be a great year.
Go Tigers!
